*For over 15 years, ASB Industries and Nippon Steel Hardfacing have worked together to provide a high-performance thermal spray coating system for Hot Dip Coating Process Lines. The coatings are designed to resist pick-up and reduce wear on components in molten zinc. Thermal spray surfacing and post heat treatment provides a corrosion and pick-up barrier in the very reactive zinc on rolls that steer the carbon steel strip through the molten zinc. Automotive producers worldwide incorporate an effective corrosion barrier on the metals of many structural components. Vehicle outer bodies, a prime example, are protected from environmental wear keeping excellent paint aesthetics.

ASB Industries works directly with producers to identify operating conditions to provide specific process parameters. As a result, rolls and other components, including bearing systems, allow the submerged rig to provide predictable service life.

Machining, grinding and Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) welding services provide customers with complete processing at the ASB Industries Ohio facility. Roll surfaces and grooving are designed to meet specific quality requirements, along with understanding details of line speed, tensions and annealing conditions. These specialized services allow constant monitoring and flexibility for ASB to work with the production demands and quality requirements of our customers.
