The process uses specially formulated powder chemistries that are fed into an oscillating plasma torch. The Plasma energy is transferred to the substrate with minimum solutioning between the substrate/coating layer and the coating thickness is based on number of passes. Once the as-welded part is complete ASB Industries then finishes the part to required dimension and surface finish specifications. This requires specialty hard tooling and grinding wheels. ASB Industries provides this unique service with our other thermal spray processes to provide successful wear resistant surfacing.
