ASB has recently installed two of three new machine tools which include a CNC Turning Center, a large lathe and on order is a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill.

 Highlights of the equipment:

  • CNC Horizontal Turning Center-Fortune VTURN-A26 that can handle 16" Diameter x 26" in length with various configurations with 4 Axis turning and multi tool capacity. The Mitsubishi PLC Digital Readout is similar to other equipment at ASB.
  • The new SMTCL Lathe is manual with a new 48" deep cement pad that can handle up to 62" Diameter x 16 ft long with a wide range of turning speeds for high speed and strong turning forces for cylindrical machining with high rigidity.
  • On order is a Fortune Pacific DRO Horizontal Boring and Milling Machine with a table size of 63" x 55" with a 5" spindle with continuous indexing capabilities.
