ASB Industries has been an active participant in the Thermal Spray Society and as an outcome of this involvement, Charles Kay of ASB Industries was recognized as an ASM Fellow with presentation at the Annual ASM Awards Banquet in October, 2019.
In 1969, ASM established the Fellow of the Society honor to provide recognition to members for their distinguished contributions to materials science and engineering and to develop a broadly based forum of technical and professional leaders to serve as advisors to the society. The solicited guidance, which the Fellows will provide, will enhance the capability of ASM as a technical community of materials science and engineering in the years ahead.
The Award citation for Mr. Kay is, “For global technical leadership in innovative thermal spray technologies, mentoring thermal spray practitioners and sustained, dedicated volunteer service to the thermal spray community.”
Pictures include Charles Kay receiving the recognition certificate by by ASM President, Dr. David Furrer and Mr. William Mahoney, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of ASM who chaired the Ceremony and the 2019 Class of ASM Fellows.
